Stop Britain First in Manchester
On Saturday 21st February, members of Your Party Chorley joined others in a Your Party bloc on the Manchester anti-fascist demonstration. The mobilisation had been called to oppose a march by the fascist Britain First, in which the Nazis were calling for the deportation of non-white people. The anti-fascist mobilisation, while experiencing some repression from the police, was able to take and hold a key junction on Britain First's route, forcing them to re-route their march away from the city centre.
Save Our Care Homes
On Saturday 17th January, Your Party members from across Lancashire joined care workers, care users, trade unionists and community activists from across the County to protest against the closure of care homes and day centres. Our Reform-led Lancashire County Council is seeking to close the homes and privatise the need. Our care users deserve the dignity of properly run, council controlled care homes; they don't need their money taken to support private profit.
You can see the leaflet for the demonstration here.
